Am I an active audience member?

My favourite television show is LOST. I have been obsessed with this programme since I watched the first episode many years ago. I watched religiously up until the final season this year. When the show finished I rewatched to see if there was anything I missed along the way.
I would watch the show when it came out and the next day I would listen to the pod cast for a sum up of the previous nights show. It became a habit.
There were websites dedicated to the fan community in which you could write blogs and converse with other fans of the shows. I personally did not do this although I no people who did.
To me, this show was huge... In fact I became LOST within the show.
I feel I fit into the catagory of an active viewer. Not only did I watch the show, I also went further by reading blogs and listning to pod casts on it. On the last night of the show me and my friends even dressed up as our favourite characters and had a party.

There are many people within society who are fans of programmes who go out of their way to became apart and become and active audience by participating within the fan sites and blogs.
There are dedicated events for people who are fans of science fiction such as Armagedon which is held anunally in Auckland.
